This site is mainly for the amusement of Justin. When he needs to fiddle with something new, he first does it here, then probably OpenLUG.com and finally JEDISteiger.com and the other sites on this server.
He runs this server out of his home. He has a ADSL connection to the Internet and it is shared with around 17 devices (Both computers and iPhone/iPod Touches). He has several headless servers for miscellaneous tasks, and several workstations & notebook computers connecting wirelessly off his network.
Ubuntu Linux is the Operating System running most of these machines. The exceptions are he and his wife’s MacBook Pro notebooks. His is a 17″ MBP and hers is a 15″ MBP. Even still, Justin runs several versions of Linux on his MBP as well as Windows in a Virtual Machine. In Linux VirtualBox is the perfered application to run Windows inside the Linux operating system.
Another thing this site is turning out to be is a personal fitness tracker for Justin. He uses a Garmin Forerunner 405 to track all his running and biking (and hopefully soon hiking).
