A very merry X-mas
On a totally unexpected note, my dad had my 1967 Comet taken apart and re-painted and some of the interior redone. For about a year now I’ve mentioned selling it and getting one that was a little straighter but he kept talking me out of it. Turns out he was already pulling the dents out!
Here are some pictures of it. I would have loved to taken more, but we couldn’t pull it all the way out, it was friggin’ freezing out and it isn’t finished after all. The first picture is me with the car in 2002. You can see the damage just behind the door next to me in that picture. My dad is standing in the way but the dent is all gone, the paint is the original color and hopefully we can find some stock “looking” wheels for it so they too can go white with tinny dog bowl hub caps.
If anyone out there has a good line on a front suspension conversion for these cars (1967 Fairlane, Mustang and Comet all share similar front ends) let me know.
